Ray Deptula is a native of Wells, Maine, and a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. He completed a 24-year career in the U.S. Navy as both a Naval Aviator and a Political-Military Officer, completing service assignments across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean. He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, and currently resides in Merritt Island, Florida, with his wife, Julia.
