Peter Redford is a retired Metropolitan police detective with thirty years of experience targeting some of the country’s most dangerous and violent criminals. Throughout his career, he witnessed the indiscriminate violence perpetrated by terrorists, professional assassins, and murderers. Redford’s service was marked by numerous commendations, including the Queen’s Commendation for Gallantry. After retiring from active duty, he reviewed CCTV footage for various police forces to solve serious crimes.
Now fully retired, Redford has turned to writing, drawing from his extensive knowledge of crime and justice. His first book, ‘An Urgent Murder,’ was published in 2018 under the pen name Alex Winchester and continues to be available from Troubador Publishing Ltd and his website.
