On The Table Read Magazine, “the best arts and entertainment magazine UK“, Strictly Come Dancing stars Amy Dowden MBE and Carlos Gu return triumphantly with their inspirational live tour REBORN in May-June 2026, celebrating resilience, renewal, and the transformative power of dance through breathtaking routines and personal stories of rebirth.
REBORN
Strictly Come Dancing favourites Amy Dowden MBE and Carlos Gu are set to dazzle audiences once again with their acclaimed live show REBORN, returning to UK theatres from May 2026 following a successful sold-out run earlier this year.

The uplifting production celebrates the transformative power of dance, weaving together personal stories of resilience, renewal, and joy. Amy’s highly anticipated return to the dancefloor after her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, combined with Carlos’s journey of self-discovery since moving to the UK, forms the heart of the show. Together, they feel truly “reborn,” delivering an emotional and high-energy experience featuring world-class dancers, live vocalists, and show-stopping routines.
Creative Director Elizabeth Honan, choreography by Neil Jones, and Musical Director Bobby Goulder bring this inspirational narrative to life, promising an unforgettable evening of Latin and ballroom brilliance.
Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu

Amy Dowden MBE has been a beloved professional on Strictly Come Dancing since 2017. Highlights include reaching the final in 2019 with Karim Zeroual, and partnerships with celebrities like Tom Fletcher, Brian Conley, and JJ Chalmers.
Her competitive achievements are impressive: alongside partner Ben Jones, she became the first all-British pair in over 30 years to win the British National Latin Dance Champions title in 2016. They also claimed British Dance Federation Champions, English Closed Champions, and Welsh Closed and Open Champions.
Beyond dancing, Amy is a passionate advocate. She won the Raising Awareness Award at the Hello! Magazine Star Women Awards in 2019, received a Points of Light Award from the Prime Minister in 2023, and was honoured with an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours 2024 for her work with Crohn’s & Colitis UK. Her BBC documentary Strictly Amy: Crohn’s & Me won a BAFTA Cymru, and a recent BBC One documentary chronicled her cancer journey. She continues advocacy with My Breast Friend and CoppaFeel!.
Carlos Gu, a three-time Chinese National Champion and multiple World semi-finalist, joined Strictly in 2022. He reached the final in his debut season with Molly Rainford and wowed audiences in 2023 with Angela Scanlon, particularly their Argentine Tango at Blackpool. He has also been a German Open finalist and runner-up in the Amateur Rising Star Latin at the 2017 UK Championships.
Carlos’s charisma extends to TV appearances on The One Show, This Morning, Lorraine, It Takes Two, The Hit List, and even CBeebies Bedtime Stories, where he has openly shared how dance and his relocation to the UK have transformed his life.

What to Expect On Stage
REBORN is more than a dance show—it’s an intimate portrait of triumph over adversity. Audiences will embark on an emotional journey through powerful choreography that captures the joy, energy, and beauty of dance.
