Fans of the hit television sitcom Benidorm will soon have the chance to celebrate two decades of sun, sea, and Solana hotel antics. A brand-new live production titled An Audience with Benidorm is heading to UK venues in spring 2027, bringing iconic cast members and behind-the-scenes memories directly to theatre audiences.
What to Expect From the Live Tour
The upcoming UK-wide tour is set to launch in March 2027, with initial stops scheduled in Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Leeds. Additional venues and participating cast members will be announced closer to the launch date.
Produced by Our Rita Entertainment—the team behind events such as An Evening with Crissy Rock and comedy nights featuring Joe Lycett and James Acaster—the show promises an evening full of laughter and nostalgia.
Fans attending the event can look forward to:
- Behind-the-Scenes Stories: Cast members will share personal memories and backstage gossip, accompanied by rare images and video footage displayed on a giant screen.
- Interactive Q&A: Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to their favorite actors.
- Meet and Greet: Exclusive chances to meet the cast in an up-close-and-personal setting.
Organizers noted that while the tribute show is not officially endorsed by the original television creators, it has been crafted by passionate fans to honor the comedy and characters that made the series a cultural phenomenon.
Star-Studded Lineup Featuring Sherrie Hewson
Leading the initial lineup is beloved actress Sherrie Hewson, famous for her iconic role as Solana manager Joyce Temple-Savage. Hewson expressed her excitement about stepping back into the Benidorm world to celebrate the milestone anniversary with dedicated viewers, promising plenty of surprises and fun.
Hosting the evening will be musical comedy duo Han & Fran. The North Wales-born friends—Hannah Roberts and Fran Cottington—reached the finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2025 and recently won the Best Sisters title at the 2026 UK Pantomime Awards for their roles in Cinderella.
Looking Back at a British Sitcom Phenomenon
First broadcast on ITV in February 2007, Benidorm quickly became a massive ratings hit, capturing the eccentricities of holidaymakers and staff at an all-inclusive Costa Blanca resort. Created and written by Derren Litten and produced by Tiger Aspect, the award-winning comedy ran for 10 successful series over 11 years.
