This December, André Rieu presents his most spectacular Christmas concert yet with the brand-new show Merry Christmas, coming exclusively to cinemas across the UK on 6 and 7 December 2025. Screening in over 500 cinemas nationwide, the event transforms local picture houses into a magical Winter Wonderland filled with music, joy, and festive spirit.

Filmed in André Rieu’s hometown of Maastricht, the concert turns the city’s concert hall into a breathtaking “Winter Palace.” Glittering chandeliers, twinkling Christmas trees, falling snow effects, Venetian candelabras, and romantic lighting create an enchanting seasonal atmosphere. Two ice rinks feature live skaters gliding across the stage, while dazzling dancers and magnificent décor complete the transformation, turning the venue into the world’s largest Christmas ballroom – a true fairytale brought to life.

A Cherished Christmas Tradition

This year’s production is André Rieu’s grandest Christmas celebration to date, featuring close to 1,000 performers. The line-up includes 400 brass players, 300 dancers, 100 members of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, 94 ice skaters, five sopranos, three tenors, and two special guests, all led by André Rieu himself at the heart of the spectacle.

The concert overflows with beloved Christmas carols, uplifting waltzes, and emotional highlights. Audiences will experience the glorious sound of the massed brass and wind ensemble in Go Tell It on the Mountain, the spine-tingling Carol of the Bells performed by soprano Anna Reker, and a breathtaking rendition of Let It Go from Frozen by the young star Emma Kok.

The programme also features timeless favourites such as Tochter Zion, Adeste Fidelis (O Come All Ye Faithful), Nearer My God to Thee, O Holy Night (Minuit Chrétien), Jingle Bells, All I Want for Christmas, White Christmas, Silent Night, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
