Dead Ringers

BBC Radio 4’s iconic, multi-award-winning satire show Dead Ringers is marking its 25th anniversary with a historic first: a full UK tour. This live spectacle, featuring the beloved cast of Jon Culshaw, Jan Ravens, Lewis McLeod, and Duncan Wisbey, promises a uproarious journey through 25 years of razor-sharp sketches, uncanny impressions, and the biting political and cultural commentary that has made the series a comedy institution.

A Tribute to Bill Dare

The tour serves as a heartfelt tribute to Dead Ringers creator and producer Bill Dare, who passed away suddenly in March 2025. A titan of radio and TV comedy, Dare shaped classics like The Now Show, Spitting Image, and The Mary Whitehouse Experience. The cast and crew are honored to celebrate his legacy, bringing his satirical vision to life on stage for audiences across the UK.

The Stellar Cast

Audiences can expect the trademark Dead Ringers blend of wit, mischief, and unparalleled impressions, delivered by a masterful ensemble.

  • Jan Ravens: A BBC Radio 4 stalwart with credits on Just A Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, Ravens brings her comedic and dramatic talents from stage roles at the RSC and Chichester Festival Theatre, plus TV appearances in Midsomer Murders and Skins. Her solo show Difficult Woman broke box office records.
  • Jon Culshaw: Widely regarded as Britain’s finest impressionist, Culshaw dazzles with credits like Spitting Image and The Impressions Show. Fresh off a sell-out tour of Imposter Syndrome and acclaimed performances as Les Dawson in Les Dawson: Flying High, he’s a comedic tour de force.
  • Lewis McLeod: A versatile actor and mimic, McLeod’s roles span The Crown, Endeavour, and Toast of London, with voice work as Postman Pat and Star Wars’ Sebulba. His comedic flair includes fooling BBC Radio 2 listeners as Jeremy Vine.
  • Duncan Wisbey: With credits across Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression, Hard Cell, and RSC productions like As You Like It, Wisbey’s recent role in KYOTO at Soho Place highlights his dynamic stage presence.

A Live Comedy Extravaganza

While Dead Ringers returns to BBC Radio 4 in June 2025 as part of Friday Night Comedy, this tour is a unique, non-broadcast event designed to bring the show’s anarchic spirit to live audiences. Produced by BBC Studios Audio, the tour reflects BBC Studios Brands & Licensing’s commitment to innovative extensions of its iconic properties, joining live experiences like Doctor Who’s World of Wonder and Planet Earth III Live in Concert.

This is a rare chance to experience Dead Ringers live—a celebration of 25 years of satire, a tribute to a comedy legend, and a masterclass in impressionist brilliance. Tickets are on sale now for what promises to be a landmark event in British comedy.
