On The Table Read Magazine, “the best arts and entertainment magazine UK“, get ready, ARMY: BTS is officially back with a massive 79-date world tour spanning 2026 and 2027, kicking off in April in South Korea after their nearly four-year hiatus, promising epic stadium shows across five continents alongside their highly anticipated new album!
BTS World Tour
BTS, the global K-pop phenomenon, has officially announced their triumphant return with a massive world tour spanning 2026 and 2027. This marks the group’s first full-scale group activities and headline performances since wrapping up their Permission to Dance on Stage tour in 2022, following a nearly four-year hiatus primarily due to all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—completing South Korea’s mandatory military service.

The tour, dubbed the BTS World Tour 2026-2027, is set to be one of the largest in the group’s career and potentially the biggest global K-pop tour to date. It will feature 79 dates across 34 regions on five continents: Asia, North America, Europe, South America, and Australia. The trek kicks off in April 2026 in South Korea and runs through March 2027, with additional dates promised for places like Japan and the Middle East.
The announcement came on January 13, 2026, building on earlier excitement from BigHit Music (HYBE’s label for BTS), which confirmed the group’s musical comeback with a new album on March 20, 2026—their first full-length studio release in years. Members have described the album as a heartfelt reflection of their individual growth and shared experiences, with messages to fans emphasizing gratitude and anticipation.

Tour Kickoff and Key Dates
The tour begins with hometown shows in Goyang, South Korea, at Goyang Stadium on April 9, 11, and 12, 2026, followed by dates in Tokyo, Japan (April 17-18 at Tokyo Dome). From there, it expands globally:
- North America starts in late April with stops including Tampa, USA (Raymond James Stadium, April 25-26), and later hits major venues like SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (multiple dates in September), among others.
- Europe includes performances in Madrid (June), Brussels, Munich, London (July 6-7), and Paris.
- Later legs cover South America, more Asia-Pacific cities like Bangkok, Singapore, Jakarta, Melbourne and Sydney (February 2027), Hong Kong, and Manila (March 2027, concluding the announced run).
Many shows feature multi-night residencies in stadiums, with a 360-degree in-the-round stage design for an immersive fan experience.
Ticket Information
Presale access opens January 22-23, 2026, for official ARMY Membership holders registered on Weverse (BTS’s fan platform owned by HYBE). General sales follow on January 24, varying by region. Given BTS’s history of record-breaking demand—previous tours grossed hundreds of millions and sold out stadiums—tickets are expected to sell out quickly, with fans advised to prepare early.

The Hiatus and Reunion Context
The pause began in late 2022 when the members prioritized their mandatory service (typically 18-21 months for South Korean males). Jin was the first to enlist in December 2022 and discharged in June 2024, with the rest following progressively—J-Hope in October 2024, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook in June 2025, and Suga (via alternative public service) last in June 2025. This allowed solo projects to flourish while keeping the door open for a group return.
The reunion has sparked massive excitement, with fans (known as ARMY) flooding platforms like Weverse and social media. Industry observers predict this comeback will be “massive,” potentially boosting K-pop’s global momentum and reaffirming BTS’s status as cultural trailblazers.
As BTS prepares to hit the stage again, the message is clear: after years of waiting, the boys are back—together—and ready to create new memories with fans worldwide.
