On The Table Read Magazine, “the best arts and entertainment magazine UK“, ditch FOMO and dive into JOMO with Misha & cocabona’s soul-stirring new EP—a global fusion of R&B, jazz, and hip-hop that celebrates the radical joy of staying present.
In a world obsessed with the next viral moment and endless notifications, it’s time to abandon the Fear of Missing Out and welcome the Joy of Missing Out—JOMO. Finnish producers and artists Misha and cocabona are leading this shift with their new EP, JOMO, encouraging listeners to hit pause, inhale deeply, and find delight in the here and now.
With over 190 million collective streams, the duo is pushing sonic limits by fusing soul, R&B, indie, hip-hop, and jazz into a collection that honors liberation from societal and environmental pressures. Dream big, stay authentic.

A Global Collaboration
Recorded across London, Helsinki, Amsterdam, and New York, the EP showcases a stellar international lineup: Joya Mooi from the Netherlands, Kadeem Tyrell from the UK, Latrell James and Relyae from the US, ToriTori from the US, Amelia Rose from the UK, Tamara Mneney from Denmark, and Jamiroquai drummer Derrick McKenzie on the single The Present.
This isn’t a club record, Misha explains—it’s a soundtrack for those nights you stay in. Being present doesn’t require being everywhere; it means cherishing the subtle, overlooked moments.
JOMO
The EP kicks off with the title track JOMO, blending hypnotic warm harmonies, smooth R&B melodies, and lush atmospheric layers. Cut at Spotify’s Metropolis Studios with UK R&B and soul innovator Kadeem Tyrell, it’s a soulful, understated powerhouse that sparked the project’s direction.
Next comes Long Way From Home, where ToriTori’s uplifting vocals merge with Latrell James’ thoughtful rap in a poignant reflection on separation. This genre-melding gem combines Boston soul with hip-hop narratives in an intimate, colorful soundscape.
The standout The Present pairs Derrick McKenzie’s groovy drums with rich guitar lines and Joya Mooi’s dreamy vocals for a lively, jazz-infused vibe. Balancing detailed melodies with contemporary edge, it delivers an energetic yet comforting listen that’s both nostalgic and innovative. Joya notes it’s about summoning the bravery to look inward instead of chasing outside validation.
Wrong or Right delves into toxic dynamics and heartbreak via Amelia Rose’s vulnerable, emotive performance, layered over downtempo neo-soul, R&B, and dream-pop elements enhanced by her warm, honeyed voice.
The mood lifts with Star of the Show, an empowering cut driven by Faroe Islands R&B singer Tamara Mneney’s captivating vocals in a bold, alluring ode to self-assurance, presence, and self-love.
Wrapping things up is All Day Long, a soothing, introspective closer with Relyae’s gentle vocals and Monma’s subtle production, enveloping the listener in cozy, harmonious peace like a soft lullaby.

Roots and Road Ahead
Misha and cocabona’s 10-year collaboration began in Finland’s beat community and includes work with artists like Jordan Astra, KALLITECHNIS, and Evil Needle. After a buzzworthy show at London’s Jazz Café and Misha’s official remix for GRAMMY-winner Lalah Hathaway, they’re hitting the road for a European tour this November in London, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Prioritizing live instruments, emotional resonance, and fluid genres, their production makes every feature feel personal yet vast. JOMO transcends music—it’s a manifesto for embracing calm as a bold, joyful rebellion against overload.
FOMO is over. JOMO reigns.

This celebration of JOMO really resonates with me; it’s so refreshing to embrace the present instead of chasing the next moment. Misha and Cocabona’s blend of R&B, jazz, and hip-hop sounds inviting and uplifting.

In this grand design of things you receive a B- just for effort. Where exactly you actually lost us ended up being in your specifics. You know, as the maxim goes, details make or break the argument.. And that couldn’t be much more correct at this point. Having said that, allow me say to you just what exactly did deliver the results. The authoring is definitely extremely engaging which is most likely why I am making an effort in order to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. 2nd, although I can notice the leaps in reasoning you come up with, I am not really sure of how you seem to connect your ideas which help to make your conclusion.
