On The Table Read Magazine, “the best arts and entertainment magazine UK“, Gibson Custom has partnered with Dave Grohl to release an ultra-limited run of just 50 Alpine White DG-335 guitars—each hand-signed by the rock legend and capturing the exact stunning look and tone he’s rocked on stages worldwide with Foo Fighters since 2021
Gibson Custom has teamed up once again with rock icon Dave Grohl to launch a highly exclusive limited-edition guitar: the Dave Grohl DG-335 in stunning Alpine White. This release celebrates Grohl’s enduring partnership with Gibson and captures the exact look and feel of the instrument he’s wielded on stages worldwide with Foo Fighters since 2021.

A Rare Opportunity for Fans and Collectors
Limited to just 50 guitars worldwide, each Alpine White DG-335 is hand-signed by Dave Grohl on its soundhole label. Previous DG-335 editions have sold out quickly and now fetch premium prices on the secondary market, making this run a must-have for collectors and devoted fans. Priced at around $11,999, these guitars are available exclusively through Gibson.com and the Gibson Garage stores in Nashville and London. With such scarcity and the artist’s personal signature, this edition is poised to become a coveted piece of rock memorabilia.
Design and Specs: A Blend of Classic Influences

Developed in close collaboration with Grohl himself, the DG-335 fuses elements of the iconic ES-335 and Trini Lopez designs. It features a semi-hollow three-ply maple/poplar/maple body with a solid maple center block for reduced feedback and improved sustain. The body includes bound diamond-shaped sound holes and single-ply cream binding for a refined aesthetic.

The mahogany neck follows a custom Trini Lopez profile, paired with a bound Indian rosewood fretboard featuring 22 medium jumbo frets and split diamond inlays. A distinctive Firebird/Trini Lopez-style headstock is equipped with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners for tuning stability. Hardware highlights include a TonePros ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles, a locking TonePros Stop Bar tailpiece, and unpotted Custombucker pickups with aged Alnico 3 magnets.
Electronics consist of CTS potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, and a Switchcraft three-way toggle switch, finished off with Gold Top Hat knobs featuring silver reflectors. The finish is a glossy Alpine White nitrocellulose lacquer, mirroring the striking version Grohl has played live for years.
Each guitar ships with a premium Gibson Custom hardshell case, ensuring protection for this investment-grade instrument.
Grohl’s Legacy with Gibson
As a 19-time GRAMMY winner and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee (with Nirvana and Foo Fighters), Dave Grohl has long favored Gibson instruments. His signature models have built a strong following, with earlier releases commanding high resale values. This Alpine White edition pays homage to the guitar that’s become synonymous with his recent Foo Fighters performances.
