Scottish acting legend Gregor Fisher, instantly recognisable as Rab C. Nesbitt and Joe from Love Actually, is embarking on a rare UK tour of intimate live shows in 2026.
Joined on stage by his long-time friend and director Nigel West, the evenings promise a warm, unscripted night of memories, behind-the-scenes tales and plenty of laughter – far closer to a relaxed chat in the pub than a formal theatre performance.
A Career That Spans Decades and Genres
Over five decades, Fisher has moved effortlessly between comedy and drama, from the string-vested chaos of Rab C. Nesbitt to the dystopian chill of 1984, from George Orwell*, from Para Handy’s gentle Highland adventures to Al Pacino’s side in Michael Radford’s The Merchant of Venice.
His CV also includes standout roles in Naked Video, The Railway Children (2000), Love Actually (2003), Mr Bumble in Roman Polanski’s Oliver Twist (2007), and more recently the bittersweet family comedy The Cockfields (2019). Most recently he has wrapped filming on the second series of BBC One’s warmly received Only Child.
What to Expect on the Night
Audiences can look forward to candid reflections on the highs, lows and outright bizarre moments of a life in showbusiness. Fisher plans to cover everything from his own adoption to the realities of acting, from the creation of The Baldy Man to freezing nights on location in a string vest, and from Christmas-movie magic to the wigs that deserved their own dressing room.
