The New York-based artist, originally from São Paulo, Brazil, has launched a series of Halloween-themed cover songs, each celebrating women who have been deemed too bold, intense, or free-spirited. The series kicked off with a haunting rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night,” now available on Pieri’s YouTube channel. Her version infuses the track with a raw, live texture, reflecting her Brazilian roots while embracing the song’s dark, eternal energy.
Throughout October, Pieri is releasing cover songs, each tied to a unique female archetype she seeks to reclaim. Alongside the music, she’s launched a Substack where she’s sharing original stories for each character, starting with The Vampire, The Bride of Gravenholt, which is live now. The series will build toward the release of an original single on October 31, marking a significant milestone in her evolving artistry.
