Lorna Rose Treen, the three-time Edinburgh Fringe sell-out sensation and Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe winner, is hitting the road for her first-ever UK tour with Now That’s What I Call Characters. Fresh from a string of critically acclaimed sold-out runs, the Redditch-born comic – now London-based – is set to deliver a “silly and joyful hour of nonsense character comedy” that skewers nostalgic TV, film, and music tropes. Expect daft, surreal takes on everything from Twin Peaks and Love Actually to Sabrina Carpenter and Normal People, featuring the best sketches from her live shows plus brand-new characters.

Directed by long-time collaborator Jonathan Oldfield (BBC New Comedian Finalist 2024, Frankie Monroe, Lucy Pearman), the tour collects Treen’s signature whimsical creations, often inspired by how women are portrayed on screen. “Lorna has been pretending to be other people for fun since she could dress herself,” her team notes, inviting audiences into a world of absurd delight.

Treen’s meteoric rise began with her 2023 debut Skin Pigeon, which sold out in a week, earned over eight five-star reviews, transferred twice to Soho Theatre, and returned for a second sell-out Fringe run in 2024. Her 2024 follow-up, 24 Hour Diner People, was even bigger: 30 sold-out shows at Edinburgh (full run plus five extras), a Soho Theatre main house transfer, nominations for The Comedians’ Choice Awards, 14 reviews of four stars or higher, and a spot as one of The New York Times’ Most Buzzy Shows at the Fringe.

Now, she’s expanding her live empire with this debut tour, bringing her character-driven chaos to venues across the UK.
