Rise of the Manchester Band
Formed in 2023, The Falls quickly established momentum in the United Kingdom indie scene. The band consists of Harrison Sharp on vocals, Joel Quirk on guitar, Ren Smith on bass, and Tom Chester on drums.
They built a strong live presence across the United Kingdom while consistently selling out hometown shows in Manchester. February 2026 brought their biggest headline show yet at the iconic Manchester Academy. High demand also caused their November headline show at Gullivers in Manchester to sell out in under 24 hours, prompting an extra date at The Castle Hotel.
Previous Success and Musical Influences
The debut EP, ‘Viva La Falls’, launched in September 2025 and amassed over 100,000 streams. Radio X broadcaster John Kennedy provided early support for the release.
Musical influences include The Courteneers, The Kooks, and Jake Bugg. The group combines soaring guitar hooks, infectious melodies, and sharp storytelling into a sound that feels both nostalgic and modern.

The Story Behind Loaded Gun
Luke Owens produced, mixed, and mastered ‘Loaded Gun’. Owens previously worked with SHADE, Montello, and The Sprats.
The track marks the darkest and most confrontational single on the upcoming EP. Crashing guitars, relentless momentum, and emotionally charged lyrics drive a song exploring guilt, pressure, and inescapable consequences.
Harrison Sharp drew inspiration from a scene in Martin Scorsese’s crime film ‘The Departed’. In that scene, mob boss Frank Costello, played by Jack Nicholson, confronts a young Colin Sullivan about future choices.
The title refers to a metaphor where the outcome is already written and the bullet is already in the chamber. The lyrics translate this concept into confronting personal mistakes and toxic relationships.

EP Structure and Live Dates
Positioned at the center of a five-track EP, ‘Loaded Gun’ shifts the narrative from lighter escapism to darker territory. The band designed the structure deliberately to shape the emotional journey between songs.
Fans can catch the group live across the United Kingdom during late 2026. Tour dates include:
- October 2nd, 2026: The Parish, Wrexham
- October 23rd, 2026: Tunnel, Liverpool
- October 25th, 2026: Dingwalls 2, London
