What’s Wrong With You?

Former British wheelchair tennis player Louise Hunt Skelley PLY has launched her first book, “What’s Wrong With You? Redefining What’s Possible. Unapologetically & Unstoppable.”
The book chronicles Louise’s inspiring journey, from her childhood in Wanborough near Swindon to becoming a top-10 wheelchair tennis player. Born with a physical disability, Louise faced societal expectations and learned to embrace her unique abilities.
With unwavering support from her family, she defied limitations and pursued her passion for sports. She excelled in road wheelchair racing before transitioning to tennis, where she achieved significant success on the international stage.
“What’s Wrong With You?” is an honest and inspiring account of Louise’s triumphs and challenges. It serves as a powerful message of resilience, determination, and the importance of self-belief.
The book features forewords by Louise’s husband, Chris Hunt Skelley MBE, and fellow sports commentator Gigi Salmon. It was recently launched at The Ridgeway Barns, a location of special significance to Louise, where she spent much of her childhood.

My book has been within me for many years and it has enabled me to talk about the people who have changed my life and now I hope my story will change the life of someone else. I have been as honest as I can be and my story is about the people who supported me and believed in me and I do feel that this is one of my greatest achievements in my career so far – something I was able to do with the support of my publisher Asha Clearwater.
