On The Table Read Magazine, “the best arts and entertainment magazine UK“, Ukrainian artist Postman has released “Window Loop,” a melancholic and cinematic new single blending intimate acoustic folk with subtle electronic grooves and baritone vocals, from his upcoming EP Phantasma.
Ukrainian musician Kostiantyn Pochtar, performing under the name Postman, has unveiled his latest single “Window Loop.” This track serves as the second release from his forthcoming EP Phantasma, scheduled to drop on April 17, 2026, via the CentreVille label.

From Kyiv Streets to International Stages
Postman began his musical journey in Kyiv, creating intimate city folk songs accompanied solely by guitar and harmonica. His early compositions captured the everyday magic of urban life in Ukraine’s capital, delivering a raw and acoustic sound deeply rooted in his surroundings. One standout early track, “Kyivski Vulytsi” (The Streets of Kyiv), achieved major success and is often regarded as an unofficial anthem for the city.
Over time, Postman expanded his sonic palette, exploring new territories that blend mellow psychedelia with art pop. His evolving style has enriched and complicated traditional folk elements, inviting listeners on a journey that feels both familiar and refreshingly innovative.
A dedicated live performer, Postman has delivered hundreds of concerts across 12 European countries. His commitment to extensive touring has established him as one of Ukraine’s most internationally active musicians.
The Story Behind the Name “Postman”

The artist’s stage name is a straightforward English translation of his Ukrainian surname, Pochtar. This simple yet meaningful choice reflects his authentic connection to his roots while making his music accessible to a broader audience.
A Colorful, Intimate Mini-Album
Phantasma promises a concise yet powerful experience, clocking in at just 14 minutes. Postman excels at the short format, crafting an intense and deeply tender collection that seamlessly weaves together different languages, musical eras, and cultural influences. The EP unfolds like a colorful, personal voyage that draws listeners in organically.
Inside “Window Loop”: Melancholic and Cinematic Folk
“Window Loop” shifts between gentle acoustic guitar, a subtle electronic pulse, and a grooving bass line. The song stretches the boundaries of traditional guitar-based folk while preserving its core intimacy. Led by Postman’s distinctive baritone voice, the track delivers a melancholic, cinematic atmosphere.
It offers an ironic take on the concept of the end of the world, echoing the stylistic traditions of acts like The Good, The Bad & The Queen and Tindersticks. The result is a thoughtful reflection wrapped in emotional depth and sonic warmth.

Recording in the Polish Mountains
Postman recorded material for the project at Monochrom Studio, located in the serene Polish mountains. Surrounded by breathtaking natural views, the environment fostered a sense of tranquility and connection to nature during the creative process.
The studio itself was designed by renowned acoustician Masami Sam Toyoshima, whose previous work includes legendary facilities such as Abbey Road, Metropolis, and Olympic Studios. This high-caliber setting contributed to the rich, detailed sound captured on the EP.
“Window Loop” marks another compelling step in Postman’s artistic evolution, blending folk traditions with modern sensibilities in a way that feels fresh yet deeply personal. Fans of introspective, genre-blending music will find much to appreciate in this release and the upcoming Phantasma EP.
Stay tuned for the full EP on April 17, 2026, and keep an eye on Postman’s live dates as he continues to bring his unique sound to audiences across Europe and beyond.
