About the Author
Dr. Darren J. Lipomi is a professor and the chair of chemical and sustainability engineering at the University of Rochester. A Beckman Scholar who earned his Ph.D. in chemistry at Harvard University under Professor George M. Whitesides, Lipomi’s extensive research spans flexible solar cells, biomechanical sensors, and the intersection of materials chemistry with human cognition.
His work has been recognized by top organizations including the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the U.S. Air Force, culminating in a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) presented by the White House in 2019.
