BAFTA and Emmy-nominated composer Ilan Eshkeri has confirmed that his groundbreaking audio-visual concert experience Space Station Earth will embark on its first major UK tour in 2026, presented in official collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA).

Following a sold-out world premiere at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2022, the visionary live show returns next summer with a four-date run, beginning in Glasgow on 28 May 2026 and visiting Birmingham, Manchester, and London’s Royal Festival Hall.

An Immersive Journey Through an Astronaut’s Eyes

Space Station Earth is a genre-defying audio-visual experience that allows audiences to see the world from the unique perspective of an astronaut. The performance combines high-definition footage filmed by astronauts aboard the International Space Station with an original score performed live by a synth-pop band, full orchestra, and choir.

Projected onto huge screens, the imagery is perfectly synchronised with the music to create a profoundly moving journey – one that captures the Overview Effect, the life-changing sense of awe astronauts feel when viewing Earth from orbit and recognising its beauty, fragility, and unity.

Inspired by Real Astronauts

The concept originated from Ilan Eshkeri’s friendship with British astronaut Tim Peake, who has praised the show for its ability to convey the emotion of human spaceflight and exploration. An acclaimed studio album of the score is available on all major streaming platforms.

The 2026 tour arrives at a pivotal moment for space exploration. With the Artemis II mission scheduled to send humans back to the moon, public interest in spaceflight will be at a peak, making it the perfect time to experience Earth as astronauts see it.
