Finnish rock icons The Rasmus have officially announced a major headline tour across Europe and the UK for 2027. This follows a highly successful run of global touring and festival appearances throughout recent years, solidifying the multi-platinum band’s enduring presence on the international rock scene.

A Massive 23-Date European and UK Journey

The upcoming 23-date tour offers fans an expansive live experience, blending fresh tracks from their latest album, Weirdo, with classic anthems and rare cuts from their deep catalog. The band has expressed immense excitement about returning to European stages to reconnect with their dedicated fanbase.

For the UK leg of the tour, British alternative rock band Skarlett Riot has been confirmed as the special guest, joining The Rasmus on all UK dates.

The Impact of ‘Weirdo’ and Fan Community

The band’s recent material has struck a powerful chord with listeners. Frontman Lauri Ylönen notes that the Weirdo album centers heavily on themes of self-acceptance. This message has translated directly into their live environment, creating a highly unifying, energetic atmosphere where fans actively dress up and celebrate their individuality at the shows.

Global Travels and Historical Festival Sets

Before hitting the road in 2027, The Rasmus are maintaining an incredibly busy schedule. Currently touring the United States, the band will return across the Atlantic to hit major European summer festivals, including Nova Rock in Austria, Resurrection Fest in Spain, and Masters Of Rock in the Czech Republic. Later in the year, they will head to South America for an 11-city tour covering major hubs like Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, and Buenos Aires.

This ongoing global push follows a historic, high-stakes headline appearance at the Atlas Festival in Ukraine. Standing out as the only foreign artist on the lineup, the band performed in front of over 110,000 people under strict security and evacuation protocols. The event successfully avoided disruptions and raised over $2.5 million to support Ukraine’s air defenses.

New Collaboration: “Break These Chains”

To balance the tour news, The Rasmus have highlighted their current single, “Break These Chains,” which features Niko Vilhelm of fellow Finnish rock outfit Blind Channel.

Co-written with legendary hitmakers Desmond Child and Marti Frederiksen, the track delivers the band’s signature dark, anthemic rock sound. Lyrically, the song explores the exhausting reality of toxic relationships, the psychological trap of obsession, and the difficult process of finally letting go of something harmful. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Aleksei Kulikov, which is now available on the band’s official YouTube channel.
