On The Table Read Magazine, “the best arts and entertainment magazine UK“, step into the masterpieces this summer as Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet bring stunning immersive experiences to Newcastle and Nottingham, with over 700 iconic paintings coming alive around you.
This summer, major British cities will host two spectacular immersive art shows that promise to captivate audiences of all ages. Art lovers can step inside the vibrant worlds of Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet through cutting-edge technology, large-scale projections, and original soundtracks.
Annerin Productions is bringing these acclaimed experiences back to the UK in 2026, following successful runs in previous years. The shows require expansive exhibition spaces, featuring a main immersive room of around 10,000 square feet.

Beyond Van Gogh Makes Newcastle Debut
Newcastle will welcome Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience for a month-long residency at Utilita Arena. The exhibition runs from Sunday, 12 July to Sunday, 9 August 2026, perfectly timed with the start of the school summer holidays.
Visitors will wander through more than 300 of Van Gogh’s iconic works, including The Starry Night, Sunflowers, and Terrace of a Café at Night. These masterpieces come alive around them thanks to innovative projections and a carefully curated musical score, telling the story of the influential Dutch Post-Impressionist artist.

Nottingham Hosts Both Van Gogh and Monet Spectaculars
Motorpoint Arena Nottingham will present both exhibitions from Saturday, 18 July to Friday, 7 August 2026. The two shows will run on different days during this three-week period, giving visitors the chance to experience one or both.
Beyond Van Gogh returns alongside the new addition of Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience. This allows art enthusiasts in the East Midlands to enjoy two distinct immersive journeys in one convenient city visit.
What to Expect from Beyond Monet
Beyond Monet celebrates the “Father of Impressionism” by bringing more than 400 of his works to life. The exhibition features famous pieces such as Poppies, Impression: Sunrise, and the renowned Water Lilies series, alongside lesser-known canvases.
Drawing inspiration from the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris, the show includes an Infinity Room where visitors become fully immersed inside the paintings. Cutting-edge technology and a moving original score create a spectacular audio-visual journey through Monet’s colourful and ever-changing landscapes.

Shared Features and Reflection Spaces
Both experiences include a beautifully designed reflection space after the main immersive gallery, offering visitors a chance to contemplate what they’ve seen. The exhibitions are suitable for all ages — children are often mesmerised by the paintings coming to life, while many adults find the experiences deeply moving and profound.
Ticket Information and Visitor Tips
Tickets are now on general sale for both venues, with a range of options including money-saving family tickets. Entry is by timed ticket, and visitors should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled slot. Date or time changes are not permitted unless the flexible ticket add-on is purchased.
A VIP Experience is also available, offering greater flexibility (arrive two hours before or after the scheduled time), fast-track entry, and selected merchandise.
Utilita Arena Newcastle is the North East’s premier destination for concerts, exhibitions, and major events. Located on the banks of the River Tyne, it sits in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Central Station and close to Eldon Square.
Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, part of the National Ice Centre complex, has established itself as a cultural landmark and leading entertainment hub in the East Midlands over the past 25 years.

About the Artists
Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who produced over 2,000 artworks in a single decade, including around 860 oil paintings. Many of his most famous works — such as Irises, Bedroom in Arles, and Almond Blossoms — were created in his final years in Provence. Despite his struggles with mental health, his bold use of colour and expressive style continue to influence artists worldwide.
Claude Monet (1840–1926) was a founder of French Impressionism. Fascinated by light and changing conditions, he often painted the same scenes at different times of day. His groundbreaking 1872 painting Impression: Sunrise gave the Impressionist movement its name. Iconic works include Woman with a Parasol, Rouen Cathedral, and the vast Water Lilies series painted at his Giverny garden.
