On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment eBook magazine UK“, in L J Daniel’s Concealing Evil, charismatic assassin Clancy Kane, working for a supernatural cult, encounters unexpected empathy during his 100th hit, leading to a profound shift in his life and a descent into a morally ambiguous path.

Concealing Evil

L.J. Daniel’s debut novel, Concealing Evil, plunges readers into a morally gray world of urban fantasy, where lines blur between good and evil. Clancy Kane, a skilled assassin for a chilling supernatural cult, finds his comfortable existence shattered when he becomes the target of his own employers. Forced to confront his past choices and the terrifying consequences of his actions, Clancy must fight for survival while grappling with a newfound sense of self-preservation.

As the cult‘s shadowy leader, the unsettling Man in the Blue Coat, unleashes a terrifying campaign of retribution, Clancy is pushed to his limits. Can he outmaneuver his pursuers and escape the clutches of the Seven-Legged Spiders? Or will he succumb to the darkness he has helped to cultivate?

Concealing Evil is a gripping and suspenseful read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Daniel masterfully crafts a dark and atmospheric world where the supernatural seeps into the mundane, leaving readers questioning their own perceptions of justice and redemption.

L. J. Daniel

I am a working class writer employed at a factory. It was while operating machinery I got the idea of an assassin living a life of luxury. My colleagues encouraged me to write the book.

I have 2 GCSEs in English and an A-Level in Literature and I turn 30 in January. Concealing Evil is my first published work and will be the start of a series.

I live in West Yorkshire but was born in Essex. I am a huge cat lover, and wrote this novel with my cat, Luna, sat on my knee.
