New York-based musician, producer, and multimedia artist Dash Lunde’s project, Virtual Perfection Cowboy (VPC), has released their captivating new EP, ‘Energy Mirror: The Prelude,’ on all streaming platforms.

‘Energy Mirror: The Prelude’ is the first installment of VPC’s genre-defying concept album, ‘Energy Mirror,’ set for release later this year. This instrumental EP showcases VPC’s eclectic and experimental soundscapes, blending elements of ambient electronica, dream pop, psychedelic rock, neoclassical composition, and dance music.

With its six tracks, ‘Energy Mirror: The Prelude’ offers listeners a taste of the diverse and textured sonic world that awaits in VPC’s upcoming full-length album.

‘Energy Mirror: The Prelude’ is the first tease of the ‘Energy Mirror’ album which tells the story of a godlike being — The Dancer — who must incarnate in a human body to win a dance competition to save the universe. This first EP is meant to set the stage for the diversity of instrumentals that will be heard throughout the album, which draws on the history of dance music – disco, house, techno, drum & bass, etc. – and combines it with VPC’s trademark sounds.

Dash Lunde, a New York-based musician, producer, and multimedia artist, is a multifaceted force in the creative world. Growing up surrounded by the arts, Lunde began playing bass and guitar at a young age. Before launching Virtual Perfection Cowboy (VPC), he was a member of the psychedelic punk band Chromatic Springs and played guitar in Rachel Ana Dobken’s band. Additionally, he contributed as a guitarist and songwriter to Littlefoot, touring extensively and performing at SXSW.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Lunde is also a skilled film composer and sound designer, most recently scoring the short film Breakdown.

VPC was initially conceived as a creative outlet for Lunde to experiment with different sounds and styles. Since its inception in 2019, the project has evolved into a comprehensive multimedia experience. For his 2021 EP, Quantum Random Transmutation, Lunde created a virtual art installation, guiding fans through the story of the EP with curated 3D art to complement each track. The next chapter of VPC will feature immersive live multimedia art shows in New York City, bringing these virtual art installations to life
