110 years have passed since my great-great-grandfather started his diary. Having grown up in the same streets and towns in Lancashire (England) as his British enemies at the time, his diary is now in my possession including everything else from the war he preserved.
I was always aware that he was “an officer who had a top presence”, as was often mentioned to me. Yet when I got older and decided to explore his story in detail, I discovered that he took part in dozens of battles and engagements including Loos, Festubert, and the Battle of Caporetto during which he led various victorious assaults.
He even held off an entire battalion of 3000 Russians with only 250 of his men, which granted him the Iron Cross 1st Class and an award given to only 365 others. He experienced everything from formidable head-on onslaughts to tunnel warfare, life amongst the local populations, flying in an aircraft, mountain warfare in the Carpathians and the Alps, and the retreat back to Germany at the bitter end. Instantly, I knew that I had to get this published.
As well as adding commentaries and extensive research to bring Alexander’s story to life, I have journeyed in his footsteps and visited battlefields and graves related to the stories he tells us. I have even gone so far as to explore the lives of his enemies. I have researched British soldiers directly linked to my grandfather, whose items have been in my family since the Great War.
I even met their living relatives and visited their graves, having also returned some items to them to bring closure to their tales. Coincidentally, all these British soldiers lived in the same county of Lancashire as I do. This book finally offers the world a true and unique, unbiased glimpse into the perspective of the Germans during WWI. This book is part of my family history — a portrayal of war unlike anything seen before.

Thanks for giving your ideas right here. The other factor is that whenever a problem occurs with a personal computer motherboard, persons should not take the risk of repairing that themselves for if it is not done properly it can lead to irreparable damage to the full laptop. It is usually safe to approach a dealer of any laptop for your repair of its motherboard. They have technicians with an experience in dealing with mobile computer motherboard troubles and can have the right analysis and carry out repairs.
This design is spectacular! You obviously know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
After I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the same comment. Is there any way you’ll be able to take away me from that service? Thanks!
This actually answered my problem, thank you!
I will immediately grab your rss feed as I can’t find your e-mail subscription link or newsletter service. Do you have any? Please let me know in order that I could subscribe. Thanks.

My programmer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on a number of websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your post. Another factor is that just being a photographer includes not only issues in recording award-winning photographs but hardships in establishing the best digital camera suited to your needs and most especially issues in maintaining the caliber of your camera. This can be very genuine and clear for those photography lovers that are directly into capturing the actual nature’s exciting scenes — the mountains, the actual forests, the wild or the seas. Visiting these adventurous places absolutely requires a photographic camera that can live up to the wild’s tough area.
Thanks for your article. I would love to say that the very first thing you will need to conduct is determine if you really need credit repair. To do that you must get your hands on a duplicate of your credit file. That should really not be difficult, because the government mandates that you are allowed to get one absolutely free copy of your real credit report on a yearly basis. You just have to request the right people today. You can either look into the website for your Federal Trade Commission or maybe contact one of the leading credit agencies specifically.
Hello there, You’ve done a fantastic job. I will certainly digg it and in my view suggest to my friends. I am sure they will be benefited from this site.
The next time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I imply, I know it was my option to read, however I actually thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you can repair in case you werent too busy on the lookout for attention.
Thanks for your publication on this blog site. From my own experience, periodically softening up a photograph could possibly provide the photographer with a dose of an artsy flare. Many times however, that soft cloud isn’t what precisely you had at heart and can quite often spoil an otherwise good photograph, especially if you intend on enlarging this.
you’re really a good webmaster. The web site loading speed is amazing. It seems that you’re doing any unique trick. Furthermore, The contents are masterpiece. you have done a wonderful job on this topic!
It’s my belief that mesothelioma can be the most lethal cancer. It’s got unusual qualities. The more I really look at it the harder I am certain it does not behave like a true solid tissues cancer. In case mesothelioma is a rogue viral infection, in that case there is the possibility of developing a vaccine and also offering vaccination for asbestos open people who are at high risk involving developing upcoming asbestos relevant malignancies. Thanks for sharing your ideas for this important health issue.
