I have written since childhood, even winning a Blue Peter badge for a limerick I wrote about Goldie the dog! In 1993 I came second in a competition in a national women’s magazine for a historical saga. I self-published my first historical novel (under my own name) in 2008 and went on to publish several more. I came second in the Good Housekeeping Novel Writing Competition in 2014. Unfortunately, when it did not lead anywhere, I became disillusioned with writing and gave up for a while. I started writing crime fiction but that didn’t really go anywhere.

Then a couple of years ago, I started writing gay fan fiction which was very well-received with thousands of readers and incredible feedback and I realised where my talents lie. Most of my previous books have had queer characters, but the main romance has been heterosexual.

But I realised I have a great passion for writing male/male spicy love stories and can’t imagine ever going back. But I still love history and plan to set all my books in a historical setting. My next book will be a love story spanning from the late 70s to the current day. I love the research involved and getting absorbed in these characters’ world.
