I interviewed psychologist and author Dr Sharon Grossman about her career, what motivates her, and her latest book; How To Train Your Brain.
Tell me a bit about who you are.

I am a psychologist, success coach, serial podcast host, and the author of the international bestseller, The 7E Solution to Burnout: Transforming High Achievers from Exhausted to Extraordinary. For the past 19 years, I’ve coached 6-figure executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals working in high stress industries who are struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout. Through my Exhausted to Extraordinary™ Method, I work with them to break through the mental fog, boost their energy levels, and enjoy more of what matters in life in 90 days without worry or sacrifice.
When did you first WANT to write a book?
Over the past two decades working with my clients, I have developed a toolbox of resources as well as identified important skills for success. I wanted to expand my reach and share these with a larger audience and a great way of doing that was through writing a book.
When did you take a step to start writing?
I started my book writing journey about two and a half years ago. As soon as I made up my mind that writing is something I wanted to do, it was just about starting and having a strategy to keep me going.
How long did it take you to complete your first book from the first idea to release?
The writing itself took about two years. Each week, I wrote one blog post. At the end of one year, I stitched those posts together into the book. Then there was the professional editing, formatting, and additional resources for the printed book and online experiences I created for audio-visual learners.

How long did it take you to complete your latest book from the first idea to release?
More recently I wrote a short ebook. I purposely wanted it to be an entirely different experience from the first book. Because it was a shorter book and because I limited the scope of the book to just one small subject, I was able to write the book in just a couple of days.
Focusing on your latest release. What made you want to write How To Train Your Brain?
I wanted this ebook to showcare my new project, brain priming, and what it can do for the reader.
Most books share the “what” but not the “how.” I didn’t want to hold back in the book. In fact, the book’s title makes a promise. It’s called How to Train Your Brain for Success in 5 Steps. So I wanted to share the “how” and detail the exact 5 steps you can take to get the results.
People who are interested in reprogramming their subconscious want to know how to do it. This book is an opportunity to share my expertise and invite the reader to take the next step with me if they so choose.

What were your biggest challenges with writing How To Train Your Brain?
The biggest challenge in writing the ebook was finding research studies that exemplify how priming works. Writing the rest was easier simply because I just had to depend on my own brain and share the process and my clients’ results.
What was your research process for How To Train Your Brain?
In researching the subject of brain priming, I did two things. The first was to work with a group of folks so I could write about their personal results so the reader can get a glimpse of what priming can do. The second thing I did was scour the internet for reliable research studies that demonstrate how priming can set the stage for different results than your conscious mind alone can do.
How did you plan the structure of How To Train Your Brain?
In writing my burnout book, I came up with the main points and saw that they all started with the letter “E” and hence was born “The 7E Solution to Burnout.” I structured that book based on each of the E solutions.
In the brain priming book, I wanted it to answer the most fundamental questions a reader might have about their beliefs, introduce the concept of priming, share the step-by-step process I use, and information about The Priming Lab, my membership site for anyone who might want to do this work with me.
Did you get support with editing, and how much editing did How To Train Your Brain need?
In The 7E Solution to Burnout book, I hired two different editors.
In the brain priming book, I didn’t use an editor at all. It was short enough that I could see that it works as is.

What is the first piece of writing advice you would give to anyone inspired to write a book?
If you want to write a book, get clear first about why you are writing it. What is your end result? In writing The 7E Solution to Burnout, my mission was to share resources with professionals struggling with burnout. I wanted to take my years of experience and put them into one book. I also knew that being an author gives you credibility so that prospective clients would see that as a trust factor.
In writing the brain priming book, I wanted to share how you can reprogram your subconscious mind and invite the reader to my membership site.
Can you give me a hint about any further books you’re planning to write?
Every so often I get an idea for another book. I have a file where I keep these ideas so I can come back to them. Mainly, I like to write about mindset and how you can overcome mindset obstacles. I plan to write the rules of tennis compare to the mind and a book about how to increase the quality of your life.
My goal is eventually to have dozens of books published. One book at a time.
And, finally, are your proud of your accomplishment? Was it worth the effort?
Absolutely! I am super proud of my burnout book. It took a lot of time and effort to research, write, edit, and promote, but it’s a fanstastic book and an homage to my work as a psychologist over the course of two decades.
My brain priming book is an accomplishment in and of itself because it is a demonstration that you could write a short book in a matter of days.

Common unwanted effects of Primobolan embody liver toxicity (especially with the oral form),
hormonal imbalances, virilization in girls, cardiovascular issues, joint discomfort, and mood changes.
Whereas it has a decrease facet impact profile than many other steroids, users should
stay cautious. As Quickly As absorbed, Primobolan is distributed throughout the body,
the place it exerts its anabolic results.
It is metabolized primarily in the liver and is eliminated by way of urine.
Due to its construction, it’s less susceptible to conversion to
dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a potent androgen, which further reduces the danger
of androgenic side effects. Primobolan is chemically modified from DHT,
which helps it avoid conversion to estrogen.
The unwanted effects of Equipoise will embody natural testosterone suppression in all males who complement.
Most all anabolic steroids suppress manufacturing to 1 degree
or another, and with Equipoise it is going to be pronounced.
Most all men are inspired to incorporate using exogenous testosterone with their Equipoise so
as to avoid a low testosterone situation. If exogenous testosterone is not included, low ranges will
exist, you’ll open yourself to all the attainable low
degree symptoms and a really unhealthy condition general.
Those with naturally oily pores and skin can discover the
oil increases, but just about any other steroid you stack with Deca will doubtless be the acne-causing offender
quite than Deca itself. PCT should start two weeks after the end of the cycle,
and Clomid should be used for 3 weeks at 50mg every day or up to 100mg day
by day in case your cycle is heavier. In the 2-week gap earlier than PCT, keep
using Arimidex after which stay on it during your Clomid cycle and an extra week afterward.
Trenbolone is itself derived from Nandrolone – essentially a modified model
of Deca. Deca is a long-acting ester that may take some time to
kick into your cycle.
Thus, Dr. Ziegler’s intention wasn’t simply to create a compound that was extra anabolic than testosterone but one that may
even be much less androgenic. He achieved this
with Dianabol’s androgenic rating of 60, in comparison with testosterone’s a hundred.
It’s simple to think that by calculating the half-life of a steroid, you can work out
when it will now not be detectable in your body, and you’ll
then cross a drug take a look at with flying colours – right?
Some explicit steroids are notorious for producing metabolites which
may be highly detectable by way of testing or that remain within the body for an extended time.
The only widespread side effect on the hormonal system of both genders is androgenetic alopecia.
We don’t know precisely how many people abuse steroids, but
it’s estimated that around one to five per cent of the population will do it in their lifetime.
This could be in a misguided try and treat sexual dysfunction (that’s unrelated to reliable androgen deficiency), perceived “low T” or “male menopause”, or managing
non-specific signs like tiredness.
Half-life is a scientific concept that is applied to all kinds of medication and substances, whether it’s steroids, prescription drugs, or vitamins (and more).
After you’ve taken a steroid orally or by injection, the steroid travels through your bloodstream
(at a velocity managed by an hooked up ester, if one exists) and
to the muscular tissues. Androgen receptors in the muscular tissues
obtain the steroid, and as soon as contained
in the muscle cell, the steroid can further stimulate protein synthesis17.
In women, AAS use has been linked to cardiovascular impairments, with studies in female rats displaying
reduced vascular reactivity, suggesting sex-specific vulnerabilities.
It does not aromatize to estrogen and has minimal water and electrolyte retention (Osta et al., 2016).
Administered exclusively in oral kind (Lemma et al.,
2017, Mullen et al., 2020), it shares pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics
with oral stanozolol (Osta et al., 2016).
Its reduced androgenic activity makes it a most popular choice
by ladies and has led to its investigation for treating catabolic situations in adults and children (Karim et al., 1973, Ring et al., 2020).
Particularly if they’re misused, steroids have the potential to
cause heart harm. In conclusion, whereas Anavar may
look like a quick repair, it’s important to do not overlook that
true health is about extra than simply physical appearance.
It’s about total well being and well-being, and there are many paths to achieving these goals that don’t involve the use
of steroids.
While not the most serious of unwanted effects, it’s value noting because it can have an effect on about half of steroid abusers, according to earlier research.
However, the increasing use of anabolic steroids in sports raised
alarms regarding security and ethics, leading to regulatory modifications.
In the Usa, the Anabolic Steroid Management Act of 1990 classified anabolic steroids, together with Primobolan, as
managed substances.
