On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, John Paul White, known for his work with The Civil Wars, has collaborated with Wildo DM on a folk rock version of Fleetwood Mac’s classic hit, Big Love.

With musical journey that has been nothing short of extraordinary, John Paul White co-founded The Civil Wars with Joy Williams, captivating audiences worldwide with their folk-infused sound.

Together, The Civil Wars released two acclaimed studio albums, including the chart-topping The Civil Wars, and have won four Grammy Awards during their time together. More recently John Paul White and Joy Williams joined Taylor Swift on her single “Safe & Sound”, a re-recording of their song originally featured on the Hunger Games soundtrack.

Following the duo’s hiatus, John Paul White embarked on a successful solo career, releasing albums like Beulah and The Hurting Kind. Showcasing his rich, mesmerising, emotive vocals, and soul-stirring, introspective songwriting, he has earned a devoted fanbase.

Big Love

Now John Paul White has joined up Swedish production outfit Wildo DM to release a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Big Love, adding his unique blend of folk, country and Americana influences to an already legendary song.

Originally, Big Love served as the lead single for Fleetwood Mac’s album Tango In The Night, where it achieved notable success, reaching #5 in the US and #9 in the UK. The song, initially penned by Lindsay Buckingham, saw its copyright acquired by Hipgnosis Songs Fund in 2021. This acquisition played a significant role in the production of the record, as part of their ongoing collaboration with Reimagine Records.

The style of this record embraces elements of indie/rock and folk, creating a compelling musical fusion that promises to captivate audiences once again.
