On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, M. Byrd, a German singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, has released his ethereal new single, Only A Feeling.
Only A Feeling
M. Byrd’s new track, Only A Feeling, which is powered by an old OP1 drum machine, tries to capture the essence of a panic attack in a song with airy guitars that move around a steady beat.
He explained that as he has a close friend who deals with panic attacks on a regular basis, he wanted to create something that represents how something can suddenly cause such a strong reaction in someone that they end up gasping for air. Even the drums express this lack of breath.
Byrd, a German multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer, finds universality in deeply personal songwriting. He first got recognition in 2020 with the single “Mountain,” which was followed by “Morning Sun.” Both songs received praise from Ones to Watch, Earmilk, Atwood, and others, as well as millions of streams.
He worked on The Seed with producer Eugen Koop in a British Corps squash hall, rebuilt into a studio, at the end of 2020 in Detmold, Germany. M. Byrd plays bass, synthesizers, and guitar, leaving his mark on every level of the music. He continues to refine his vision for his debut album, The Seed [Nettwerk], which will be released in 2023. His music has received praise from outlets all over the world and more than 10 million streams.
