On The Table Read Magazine, “the best arts and entertainment magazine,” St. Catherine’s Child reimagines T. Rex’s “Cosmic Dancer” and the classic “Fly Me To The Moon” on a captivating new double single released via Shamus Records.
Indie folk and Americana artist St. Catherine’s Child—the musical project of singer-songwriter Ilana Zsigmond—has officially released her highly anticipated double single, featuring fresh, modern interpretations of “Cosmic Dancer” by T. Rex and “Fly Me To The Moon” (famously popularized by Frank Sinatra, written by Bart Howard).
The release comes via the historic TRO Essex Music and its label division, Shamus Records.

Bridging Two Continents Through Music
Born in England and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Zsigmond draws deeply from her dual heritage. Her unique sound weaves the rich, poetic storytelling characteristic of American folk traditions together with a dry, sharp British wit.
Operating under a moniker inspired by the patron saint of eloquent women, her powerful vocals and enchanting songwriting remain the driving forces behind the St. Catherine’s Child project. Building on the momentum of her critically acclaimed 2025 raw and honest album, This Might Affect You, she has steadily amassed over 4 million streams alongside widespread praise from major music publications like The Line of Best Fit and Hot Press.
A Historic Label Partnership
The new double single arrives alongside Zsigmond’s recent signing to TRO Essex Music and Shamus Records. This milestone places her alongside an elite, legendary publishing and label roster that has historically represented music icons such as Woody Guthrie, David Bowie, T. Rex, Pink Floyd, and Black Sabbath, while continuing to champion contemporary breakthrough acts like Crys Matthews and Flamy Grant.

Inside the Double Single Release
The project showcases Zsigmond’s ability to reimagine timeless compositions through a contemporary lens:
- “Cosmic Dancer”: A fresh, modern take on the classic glam-rock staple originally penned by T. Rex.
- “Fly Me To The Moon”: An irresistible, reimagined rendition of the iconic standard originally written by Bart Howard.
Both tracks highlight her signature indie-folk warmth, breathing new life into these generational standards.
