Working as journalist made me a staunch truth-seeker and a keen disambiguator. Just like my character, Mac Closkey, I will spend my darkest hours getting to bottom of conspiracies to explore a new concept: legal criminality. If you want to know about the concept, read Hollow Man.

When I was a child, I wanted to be a vet or a pole-jumper. After breaking many branches, trying to jump over impossible fences, I turned to observing my community with a view to never forget anything. I was equally interested in language, science, spirituality and nature.

I found myself homeless and an orphan at 14 and lived on the streets until I was adopted by family members who supported me during my studies.

I became a reporter as I loved being an observer at the heart of the action, but reporting didn’t always allow my humorous side to express itself. So I began writing for fun. Short stories at first, then poetry and novels.

After a personal tragedy, I moved to the UK from France and began writing about my journey. I love herbalism and spiritual psychology, both as a qualified practitioner. My favourite genres are fantasy, magic realism, horror and crime.

Writing has enabled me to deal with trauma, and this journey is always reflected in my writing. The afterlife, the supernatural and the ordinary in the extraordinary are my favourite themes.
