Australian music pioneer Jacqui Hunt is back with a new full-length project titled Desiderium. This release marks four decades since she launched the influential electronic group Single Gun Theory. Available digitally now, the physical release on CD and limited edition vinyl arrives on June 26th through her independent label QUSP. The album shifts between expansive electronic soundscapes and stripped-back acoustic arrangements. Synthesizers float beneath organic pop structures to create an atmospheric listening environment. The project brings a generational link to the forefront because Stenders is the child of director Kriv Stenders and photographer Lisa Stonham, both of whom worked on historical music videos for Single Gun Theory.

Hunt built her foundation as the frontwoman of Single Gun Theory beginning in 1986. That group issued three albums through the cult Australian label Volition Records and later signed with Nettwerk Records. Their international reach expanded through North American tours alongside Sarah McLachlan and charting success in Spain.

Beyond her primary band, Hunt built an extensive collaborative resume. She contributed vocals and writing to Delerium tracks such as Euphoria, which earned a Juno Award via a Rabbit In The Moon remix. Her voice also appeared on Paul Mac projects and modern releases by David McClymont of Orange Juice. Solo work followed with the 2008 album Auraphonic and the design project CiiVE, proving her ongoing adaptability across creative industries.
