Kendall Kenneth Folkhardt is a former fencing campion with a degree in Print Art from The National School of Fine Art, and a BA in Production and Costume Design from The National Academy of Theatre and Film. In Birmingham he studied for a master’s degree in fine art, and was the production and costume designer of a play, before participating in an exhibition in Stockholm.

As well as an author, Folkhardt is a singer-songwriter with singles including Enigma and Paint My Face With Kisses. He ran a successful online business selling cosmetics for a few years, and worked as an account manager for one of the leading cosmetics brands.
