Each title’s user ratings for the video game and television series were averaged, with the exception of the first game and series. With an average IMDB star rating of 8.1,  Arcane: League of Legends came in third place among video games and television shows. This is still higher than the average rating of 6.8 stars for TV series adaptations across the other titles in the analysis. Halo was Paramount+’s most watched series premiere globally in its first 24 hours when it came out in March 2022.


Due to the 1982 arcade game that received 7.5 stars on IMDB and the 2012 television show that received 8.2 stars, Tron ranks sixth with an average user rating of 7.85 stars.

Dragon Age: Absolution

The Dragon Age: Absolution comes in seventh spot. Compared to Dragon Age, which received a rating of 9.1 stars, this animated action series received a rating of 6.4 stars on IMDB. The video game Origins. Their combined score on IMDB is 7.75 on average.

The Legend of Zelda comes in at number ten with an average IMDB rating of 7.3. The retro classic from 1986 has an IMDB user rating of 8.6 stars. It follows the mysterious Link as he tries to save Hyrule. A lower rating of 7.3 was given to the Legend of Zelda television series, which came out three years later, in 1989.


A spokesperson for explained that while dissecting the IMDB ratings of the titles that were considered, it’s evident that studios generally struggled appease computer game fans. Exceptions to this rule include The Last of Us, which premiered just recently and is already the highest-rated TV adaptation of all time.
