The Remixes and Producers
The two-track release features distinct sonic visions from Peter G. Holmström of The Dandy Warhols and Sun Atoms multi-instrumentalist June Kang. Both producers recently delivered remixes for artists like A Place To Bury Strangers and The Macks.
June Kang crafted the ‘Narco Polo (JunN RemiX)’ with a slower tempo below 100 BPM and a heavy-handed low end. The track relies on samplers, sequencers, and a Korg MS20 synthesizer alongside chopped-up vocals from Isaac Brock and Jsun Atoms.
Peter G. Holmström contributed the sleek and hypnotic ‘Marco Polo (NRC RMX)’. This version arrives alongside a striking new visual created by rising artist Brady Tucson.
Band Lineup and Sound
Sun Atoms stands as a magnetic force on the West Coast. The lineup features enigmatic vocalist Jsun Atoms from The Upsidedown and Daydream Machine, multi-instrumentalist June Kang, and multi-instrumentalist Mars de Ponte on saxophone, trumpet, and guitar.
The roster is rounded out by drummer Eric Rubalcava from Rayon and Pastilla, bassist Peter G. Holmström, and guitarist Derek Spencer Longoria-Gomez from Hi Hazel. Their music blends heavy grooves, warped vocals, and psychedelic energy.

Discography and Major Collaborations
Sun Atoms built momentum with their debut album ‘Let There Be Light’, which was mixed by legendary producer Stephen Street. That release featured a collaboration with Alex Maas from The Black Angels on the opening track.
Their second album, ‘Everything Forever’, pushed the group into expansive, genre-defying territory. Produced by Peter G. Holmström and mixed by Jagz Kooner, the record spent four months on the charts in 2025.
The album also featured notable guest appearances from Isaac Brock, Jasno Swarez of The Vandelles, and Lauren Andino of Tremours.
