In 2019, the Market Deeping Model Railway Club suffered vandalism after it was broken into. A relaunch event will take place over 14 and 15 May 2022 following a successful fundraising campaign including celebrity sponsorship from Sir Rod Stewart.

In 2019, the Market Deeping Model Railway Club suffered vandalism after it was broken into. After a successful fundraising campaign including celebrity sponsorship from sir Rod Stewart, a relaunch event was planned for early 2020… then Covid hit and prevented the event from taking place for just over two years.

Now that the world has returned to normality, the event plans on taking place over 14 and 15 May 2022, a weekend that will be celebrated greatly by all members of the club. The long-awaited event will be sponsored by TC Harrison Ford, Stamford’s longest standing dealer.

The weekend will mark the clubs “biggest exhibition yet” and will feature at least 20 layouts and traders selling; tools, models, accessories, electronics and scenic materials.

Showroom Scale Model

In order to show the club’s appreciation for TC Harrison’s support, the chairman of the club, Peter Davies, presented Mark Henson (The Stamford branch manager of TC Harrison) with a scale model of the showroom.

The scale model of Stamford’s showroom, which shows a detailed replica of the showroom’s interior and exterior, was built by one of the club’s most skilled model makers, David Hildred.

The scale model gifted to the Stamford branch will be featured in a mini exhibition happening at the branch over the first weekend of April 2022, 2 and 3 April, prior to the full exhibition.
