Even though the book can be helpful to anyone, Rosseau says that young people, especially those who have humble beginnings and find it hard to see a way out, are his target audience. He wants to be able to demonstrate to people from the ‘hood that you can succeed without having to be a rapper, play basketball, or sell drugs. He wanted to drive a Lexus back into his old neighborhood and demonstrate to them how he had achieved success in a different way.
