A.J. Forget is a modern nomad, living out of a 90-square-foot bus named Sweet Bea and traveling the US full time. The Buslife Kitchen: Cuisine for the Modern Nomad is a collection of the recipes he made in his small kitchen with a three-burner oven and no broiler. From burner baking to how to broil a Thanksgiving turkey on propane burners, Forget shares ways to cook while you’re out and about.

People who camp or live in vans, transports, or RVs will quite often only make simple meals since there isn’t much room in the storeroom or the refrigerator, and nobody likes doing dishes in a tiny sink. Forget shares that there are numerous recipes from around the world that don’t need a massive kitchen or extravagant kit.

The assortment of food in The Buslife Kitchen cookbook incorporates Italian, Vietnamese, Mexican, Japanese, French, Thai, Costa Rican, and vegetarian.

Forget explained that he wanted to make a book that would show people a selection of the truly delicious food that can be cooked in a small kitchen. By assisting people with widening their culinary skill, they can eat better and connect more with the people around them, as sharing food is the most fundamental and universal type of unselfishness, and is in many cases the way that we meet discover new cultures and new societies.

A.J. Forget left his profession as a wildland firefighter in 2017 to pursue his passions of cooking, travel, and writing. He is a self-trained chef, making connoisseur food in his minuscule kitchen with a three-burner oven and no stove. He hopes his work will enable others to understand that cooking global food in a small kitchen is simple and anybody can make it happen, whether in a transport, van, RV, or boat.

Forget lives with his life partner Ayana and their dog, Tori. If he does park up for a longer period of time, Boulder in Colorado is his base.
