On The Table Read Magazine, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, alt rock band Wesson have released an anthemic new single, Breathing In, about the everyday obstacles we face in life.
British alt/rock band WESSON, fronted by Chris Wesson, are based in Milton Keynes. The four band members decided to join forces in order to find like-minded people who needed music as a part of their daily lives and as their very essence. Alongside bassist Callum, guitarist Jimmy, and drummer Dale, WESSON makes music which is interesting, conversational and significant.
WESSON’s collective sound is a unique blend of pop, punk rock, and indie, with soaring vocals, and a sound that is entirely its own because each band member comes from a different musical background.
The gritty rock sound that WESSON create conveys a soundtrack to regular daily existence occasions, addressing reflections and memories. Their honest and relatable music is made possible by their organic approach to songwriting. Spreading messages of living unapologetically, the band want to motivate others to be honest with their life and not be too afraid to be true to themselves.
Wesson’s new single, Breathing In, explores thoughts about the world we live in, the ordinary obstacles we face each day, and the unhealthy distractions to help cope with day-to-day living in a toxic, greedy, and materialistic society. The song also talks about trying to find a healthy way out while accepting that you are powerless in a society that is bigger than you are.
Having gigged across the UK, supporting artists such as The Bluetones, Callum Beattie and Lucy Spraggan, WESSON are set for an invigorating 2023, with new music and gigs to be announced soon.
