I think at the height of Covid is when I really wanted to write. It was a form of release for me. It felt like a safe place. I understood that I needed to expand my mind so I did just that! Through writing.

When did you take a step to start writing?

I want to say October of 2020. Yes! I said 2020 haha. I procrastinated with this book A LOT.

How long did it take you to complete your first book from the first idea to release?

Basically a year and a half. I was so deep in the book, emotionally it was hard to continue it for a while. It was so good that I made it a 2 part book series.

What made you want to write Success Is Only Part Of My Story?

I felt that there was really no outlet for my generation to really be free! We had no problem with masking our pain and problems. This book was literally written to uproot the feeling of being “perfect”. I wanted this generation and today’s society to know that everyone has  problems. It’s up to you what you do with them. Either learn from it or keep being stuck.

What were your biggest challenges with writing Success Is Only Part Of My Story?

Staying consistent. That was a big issue! Writing a book is HARD! Writing a transparent book is even harder. So staying open and willing to be transparent was really difficult.

What was your research process for Success Is Only Part Of My Story?

I really dug deep to see what it was that the society of today was dealing with and what connected it to me. Other than that, I really flowed free.

I did! And really, I didn’t need too much editing. I thoroughly looked and reviewed my book

What is the first piece of writing advice you would give to anyone inspired to write a book?

Don’t stress! If it’s in your heart then do it! And be you! People love authentic leaders.

Can you give me a hint about any further books you’re planning to write?

Yes!! So as I stated before, part 2 of this book will be out later this year. That will dig into the REAL DEEP stuff.

And, finally, are your proud of your accomplishment? Was it worth the effort?

Absolutely! The testimonials, feedback and reviews I’ve been getting has been amazing. I genuinely love to help and encourage. And I feel that this book has pushed me one step closer.
