But behind the villa’s whitewashed walls, it is a different story. Carrie lives a life of threats, violence, and fear at the hands of her abusive husband. When she finally finds the courage to leave, it sets her on a path she never thought possible.
In The Other Side Of Fear, Caroline Orman takes readers on a journey of love, loss, jealousy, revenge, and fear culminating in a final courageous break for freedom.
This fast-paced, gripping story based on real events in Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, and Spain, keeping readers hooked until the end, and giving inspiration and hope to those still trapped in fear. Caroline Orman
This book is based on the true story of what happened when I left my abusive marriage and the events that followed, eventually culminating in me having to escape from Turkey and drive across Europe with my daughter.
My motivation for writing the book is to raise awareness about the complex issue of domestic abuse and to give hope to women in the same situation. It has been written under a pen name and all names, and some other details have been changed to protect privacy.
