Letter From The Editor – Day Of Quiet In Respect For The Queen

On The Table Read, “the best entertainment magazine in the UK“, JJ Barnes shares that a day of quiet is being taken to pay respects following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Dear all,

To mark respect for Queen Elizabeth II, we have cancelled all scheduled tweets to promote existing content, and postponed all new articles and interviews for a day. We will take a day of quiet to mark our respect for the loss that the people of our country, and of the world, have experienced.

Arts and entertainment are essential for helping people cope with grief. We express our love, loss, pain, joy, hopes, sadness and dreams through our creativity, and I have enormous respect for anybody who is able to share those feelings with the world. For this reason, we will delay for just one day. Tomorrow, we will return to celebrating and supporting everybody in the creative industries, and I will be eternally grateful for what you do, and that you choose to share it with both my readers, and with myself.

For today; hug those you love, remember those you’ve lost, and keep dreaming of a more beautiful future.
